COMEDY: Jen Ives PASTA COMEDIAN / DOLL [WORK IN PROGRESS]

I’ve discovered her comedy in recent years, and I can’t get enough of it.’ (James Acaster) ‘A brilliant comedian’ (Joe lycett) Since 2017, Jen Ives has built an impressive reputation for herself on the uk comedy scene. She has written for various tv programs, and recently appeared on joe lycett’s big pride party for channel 4. After a sold-out run at edinburgh fringe in 2022 with ‘peak trans’ she is currently work-in-progressing two brand new shows – an experimental, mixed media stand up show about a ‘pasta comedian’ called ‘Pasta Comedian’ – as well as a separate, new hour of stand up comedy called ‘DOLL’. Jen has also been featured in The Guardian & The New York Times

THIS SHOW IS IN THE BASEMENT 

Please note The Glory is a queer venue run by queer people, for queer people and their allies. We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards homophobia, transphobia, racism, misogyny and discrimination of any kind. ACCESSIBILITY:

The Glory is a very old building with pre-existing accessibility issues and while we’ve strived to make the space user friendly, there is no ‘easy’ wheelchair accessibility to all areas of the venue.

MAIN BAR ACCESSIBILITY:

The main bar is accessible, though the toilets are up a flight of 3 stairs with a handrail. Wheelchairs cannot access the toilets however. There is a local restaurant a few doors down who have an accessible toilet that they are happy for our customers to use.

BASEMENT ACCESSIBILITY:

To access shows in the basement there is a narrow flight of 12 stairs with a handrail.

SEATING:

The main bar has plenty of seats and tables. Ticketed shows are seated unless otherwise stated.
