SMUT press is delighted to announce the release of Jack Scollard’s zine, “The Horny Of Plenty” out from April 27th.

This 110 page zine is a compilation of images taken in London over the space of 12 months since Jack moved to the city.  The zine is intended as a meditation, capturing the ceaseless intensity and boundless beauty of a city that never knows when to stop.  Whether it be sporadic snapshots in club cubicles, tender portraits at the lakes deep on the city’s outskirts or intimate moments at after parties, these vibrant film shots testify to a quest for vitality and connection that followed two years of lockdowns.

Scollard’s playful and unrehearsed style of photography is reflected back in the zine’s whimsical graphic design, lead by Lisbon-based designer Graham Dow.  Written contributions, including an interview conducted by Shane Morgan alongside texts by Sean King and Berlin-based artist David Lindert, probe some of the darker themes raised in the images associated with a pursuit of pleasure. This is a bold and unapologetic work that immortalizes a period of deep personal change for the author but also captures the constant hedonistic attitude within London’s queer community.

SMUT Press is honoured to have the launch for this zine hosted at The Glory, 281 Kingsland Rd, London E2 8AS, London, 7-10pm on April 27th.
